RALPHH REACH STRETCHES TO THE LINCOLNSHIRE COAST
Pictured receiving the latest gifted defibrillator from the busy RALPHH charity are the happy members of Grimsby Hockey Club.

Left to right are: Chris Gilliat; Samuel Keith, Junior Captain; Tammy Spencer, Junior Co-ordinator; Hazel Dearsley, Ladies 2 Captain; and Linda Gilliat.
It was Tammy who contacted RALPHH to see if the charity could help, with all recognising that fast-paced sports such as hockey carry a risk of someone suffering from a previously unrecognised heart or circulatory condition.
The Club plays in the Yorkshire and North League, with home games taking place at Ormiston Maritime Academy, where the all-weather pitch was laid in 2005. There are 35 registered Juniors, and the Club is also busy delivering coaching in schools and running a four-week hockey experience session for free.
“I am pleased that we have been able to help a sporting club on the Lincolnshire Coast,” said RALPHH Chairman, Richard Allen. “This is the 98th defibrillator we have been able to provide to sports of all types, but is the first in this county, and I hope others will follow the Grimsby Hockey example.”
