Guildford Rugby Club has become the latest sports club in the country to be donated a defibrillator by the national charity RALPHH.
The Club, based on the outskirts of Godalming, Surrey was established in 1922 and today has some 1,300 members catering for all ages. Based at an attractive clubhouse, there are two adult men’s XVs plus a women’s team as well as colts for both sexes at under 12,14 and 16. There is also Micro rugby for the youngest and Mini rugby for those under 4 through to age11.
Operations Director Giles Simons says that the plan is to instal the RALPHH gift in an external heated box on the outside of the clubhouse, but in the short term in will be prominently visible just inside.
Making this presentation in early January the RALPHH charity is preparing for another busy year, having achieved a record number of defibrillator gifts in the previous 12 months across the sports of rowing, hockey and rugby.
