A message from the RAPLHH Chairman on Covid 19
Dear RALPHH supporters
It seems appropriate to let you know of progress with the charity, which is obviously being delayed as a consequence of the current coronavirus.
Before the present situation occurred, we were ready to go forward with our first two defibrillator installations in Kingston-upon-Thames and in Chester, but these are now having to be delayed until we get closer to the summer. We have also had to postpone a planned ECG testing programme for up to 100 young people in the Kingston area, based on the UK Government’s advice that both travel and group gatherings should be restricted to the most urgent need. Thanks to our partners in this venture, who include Kingston Grammar School and the Cardiac team at Kingston Hospital.
It is pleasing that so many people are accessing our “After Sport” pages of our website. Please provide any additional thoughts or comments you may have, as it has always been our plan to make this live and current, drawing upon the best of respected medical advice.
Despite current activity setbacks, we would like to put on record our great thanks for those continuing to give either through one of the charitable-giving websites or directly. A particular thanks to the staff at VMware in Staines, who continue to be the greatest possible help in fulfilling our objectives.
With best wishes
